Healthy Chocolate Crackles

This one is super duper easy peasy snack to whip up.

Remember chocky crackles from your childhood? I sure do, I distinctly remember the intense sweetness and that aroma that the copha had, included to bind the ingredients together…and they bound together other things inside my gut too no doubt! lol

Here is a healthier alternative to the traditional chocolate crackle. A few easy replacements it is all of a sudden a whole lot better for you and your insides and tastes delicious!

  • Instead of using Copha try using Coconut Oil.

 

  • Instead of using Rice Bubbles try using some healthy Rice Puffs.

 

  • Instead of using Icing Sugar try sweetening with delicious Maple Syrup.

 

  • Instead of using Cocoa Powder try organic Raw Cacao Powder.

 

 

 

Method:

Combine puffed rice and desiccated coconut together. Add melted coconut oil, cacao powder and maple syrup. Stir well.

Line a muffin tray with paper holders. Fill each muffin spot with a good serving of mixture. Pat down firmly with the back of a spoon.

Pop into fridge to set. Ideally a couple of hours or for a speedy set, put in the freezer for 30 mins.

Store in the fridge.

 

There is it. A super quick and easy snack for little dairy, nut and egg intolerant children to enjoy 🙂
