Natural Organic Skincare ~ handmade in Adelaide, South Australia.

Thank you so very much for stopping by.  You clicked on this page to hear a bit out us and how we came to be. It means a lot that you are interested in natural skincare and our journey so here’s a little spiel about me and my business.

Hello & welcome, I’m Michelle, the creator and founder of ‘SEED harmony with nature’.

I’m an earth lover (that’s the Taurus in me). I love to get out and about in nature, it certainly grounds me and quickly puts everything into perspective. A simple walk, time in the garden, veggie patch, appreciating nature in its simple yet complex form never ceases to astound and delight me.

My journey to creating SEED skincare came about from a combination of many things. First and foremost my Connection and deep respect for our Land and the environment.  The tactile aspect of soap and skincare formulation and creation brings me much joy.

I am a qualified Beauty Therapist and have always had a strong interest in skin health, skincare products, beauty treatments, skin conditions, healing and prevention.

My skincare interest became very apparent to me one Summer holiday when I was 14.  I just gravitated toward facial products and wanting to understand what was in them, I was very curious about the ingredient element in particular.  So I began creating Homemade facial masks, experimenting with all sorts of foods, pawpaw, cucumber, aloe vera, coconut, milk baths, salt scrubs, sugar scrubs….I found experimenting and tinkering with natural ingredients fascinating and fun.

I worked in the the corporate world for many years. Ignoring my gut intinsct and going down the “sensible” road of a secure job. Life is always working for you and I was fortunate to be made redundant from my secure, sensible job and this allowed me to explore other options. After a bit of travel and working in meaningful yet not entirely satisfying jobs I was always pulled toward my gut instinct. Natural skincare. So I followed my gut and undertook a Skincare and Soap-making Formulation Course. For over a year I planned, tweaked, tested, trialed, researched and then took the plunge and officially started my business, SEED skincare was born.

I live everyday of my life with complete and utter gratitude of what I have. I am so grateful to be able to live my days doing something I am passionate about while sharing that joy in the form of products and information that enhance people’s well-being.  I have always had a passion for continually learning, discovering and growing.

I was truly blessed to grow up in a small seaside town in beautiful Far North Queensland. Stunning coastline, serene beaches, tranquil rain forests, Aussie bush, the mountains met the sea and this beauty was at my doorstep everyday throughout my childhood and formative years.  I aspire my skin care range to reflect that simplistic image, a holistic approach to beauty and well-being.

The Beauty Therapist in me has researched and educated myself for decades on skin care ingredients (both the good and bad ones) formulation methods, product impact on not only on our skin but on our precious environment also. Presently I am studying Beauty Nutrition and learning all about foods that are not only delicious but have an incredible natural ability to heal, nourish and nurture the skin. Skin health really does start at a cellular level, we are indeed what we eat!

The health & beauty industry and the natural environment are two things I love and enjoy to continually gain knowledge about. I, like you no doubt, have over the years purchased my fair share of lotions, creams, cleansers, serums, scrubs, treatments galore, looking for that miracle cream  – you name it I’ve probably tried it! BUT now after all my exploration on skin and health, on both a textbook and spiritual level, I deem the best skin care comes from Mother Nature and maintaining a holistic approach to your life.

Keep it simple. love yourself, embrace the green movement, switch to natural, organic ingredients (on your face and body & in your tummy!), eat less meat, reduce your intake of animal products, recycle, reuse and positively contribute to the circle of life. You will be more nourished, healthy and happier than ever before.

We can all do our bit, however big or little, it all adds up to something good and is a step in the right direction to take care of you and your natural environment.  Consciousness, mindfulness and a holistic approach to support your health and well-being and that of our planets. This positive mindset and actions all contribute to your inner essence and onto Mother Earth.  We have but only our self and only one incredible planet after all. Love them both, nurture and nourish for today and for future generations.

Thanks for reading. I hope you find something you love here. Please feel free to reach out and connect should you have any queries at all, more than happy to chat 🙂

Warm regards,
Michelle x
